Kansas Law School – Dir. Field Placement Progams

The University of Kansas School of Law seeks a clinical associate professor to serve as director for its field placement programs.  The director manages all aspects of the Law School’s field placement programs including classroom instruction.  Programs include the general field placement program, as well as our Legislative Practicum, Public Policy Practicum and Sixth Semester in DC program.  These field placement programs offer quality educational experiences that immerse students in the legal work of domestic and international government or non-profit agencies, and other approved settings. In addition to earning credit for their field work, students in field placements participate in faculty-taught classes designed to maximize students’ learning.

Although their primary responsibility is teaching and professional performance, clinical professors are also expected to engage in scholarship and service to the profession.  This is a regular, full-time, twelve-month, unclassified academic staff position.

Applicants must have J.D. or equivalent legal degree, be admitted to a bar of a state or the District of Columbia and have at least 5 years of post JD legal experience, including at least two years of law school teaching experience. For more information applicants may contact:
