Equal Justice Works Rural Summer Legal Corps

February 3, 2016

Summer 2016 — Equal Justice Works is excited to announce the Rural Summer Legal Corps program which connects public interest law students with civil legal aid organizations to address pressing legal issues facing rural communities.

This new program will be a great way to gain valuable first-hand experience which can ultimately lead to a public interest legal career. The 31 positions will allow students to build their legal skills in various areas, such as direct legal services, outreach and education, and capacity building at LSC-funded organizations nationwide.

Applications for the open positions are due by February 29. Participants are required to complete 300 hours of service by August 31, 2016 to receive a $4,000 stipend.
