Hearing Officer Positions – DC Office of Police Complaints

The D.C. Office of Police Complaints (OPC) is seeking civic-minded attorneys to adjudicate police misconduct complaints filed by the public against sworn officers of the Metropolitan Police Department and D.C. Housing Authority Office of Public Safety.  Hearing officers will be assigned 2 or 3 complaints per year and are compensated on a per-case basis.  Complaint examiners issue written decisions, and if necessary, may conduct hearings.  Candidates must have a general reputation for competence, impartiality, and integrity.  Candidates also must:  (1) reside in the District; (2) be a member in good standing of the D.C.
