February 7, 2013

There is an immediate position opening for an attorney at the ABA Center on Children and the Law in Washington, D.C.  They would like to have this position filled during the month of March.  The position is for an 80%-time person, and is supported by a private funder.  The person hired will direct the Center’s Bar-Youth Empowerment Project, which largely focuses on foster youth and their meaningful participation in the court process.  They require a minimum of 3-4 years of prior child welfare system work, ideally that or more years in practice as an attorney for children, parents, or child welfare agencies.

All formal applications must be made using this link: <https://www5.recruitingcenter.net/Clients/abanet/PublicJobs/Canviewjobs.cfm>  (enter the search word “children” to find the position).

Those who meet the minimum requirements and are interested in seeing a more detailed job description for this position can email Director Howard Davidson directly at howard.davidson@americanbar.<orgmailto:howard.davidson@americanbar.org>, but note that an e-mail does not suffice for a formal application.
